Here we go on Pt.2 for Brown Girls Who Love Thrifting and Vintage... Technology is amazing in that everything is just a click away...please check out these blogs about women of color, whose hearts beat for thrifting and vintage. Urbn Vintage is based in Washinton D.C. and is a photo blog by Cindy. She is the one woman show behind UrbnVintage.com which is an online retro vintage shop. Cindy loves vintage because it has helped her become an individual. "I'm inspired by colors, fabrics, other cultures, art, old movies, music, magazines, architecture, my surroundings, the people I see everyday". It is always wonderful seeing a woman of color entrepreneurs doing her thing!! :) SheRea Del Sol, "SheDel" for short, writes a blog "My Thrifted Closet". SheDel currently lives in Winston-Salem, N.C. and she loves thrifting and natural hair. I ran into her blog when I was researching plus-size woman who love fashion. She has colorful outfit posts that always has me clicking for more. She also has a YouTube channel where she talks about natural hair and her process with choosing natural hair. This is Nefferth of Mode Plus based in the Netherlands. She blogs about plus size fashion and whatever inspires her. Check out her blog to see her outfit posts that she makes into photo collages. She tweets on the daily about what new outfit she has put together. Vintage Complex is an Atlanta based blog by Vega. She blogs about her vintage finds, outfit posts and things she loves. She also has an online vintage shop where she models most of what she sells. Vega "specializes in awesome vintage for the modern girl, well, woman." I love the research I am doing about this post because it is fabulous to stumble upon all these amazing women of color who love thrifting and vintage as much as I do.
